L&OD strives to build a learning organization. We support this learning and professional development primarily through our instructor-led courses and certificate programs, our comprehensive online learning system, and through our organizational development services. L&OD provides both free and fee-based programs and services. |
Essential Job Duties | The Instructional Designer reports to the Director of Learning and Organizational Development. The Instructional Design position provides leadership in the area of research-based instructional design, including the creation of engaging and effective learning materials and activities, the development of assessment techniques, and the pedagogical design of learning technology solutions. The position provides consultation and course-creation services to University Human Resources and within Learning & Organizational Development. The production environment for this position is collaborative and team-oriented. This position works closely with Subject Matter Experts, project coordinators, and other instructional professionals to design and develop courses and learning tools that build on effective practices and meet the unique needs of each project. The Instructional Designer works within the L&OD team and across groups to share and develop professional and institutional knowledge and actively helps to streamline processes to create efficiencies.
