What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Adult CPRC Services position at North Central Missouri Mental Health Center?
A. DEFINITION
The CPRC Director for Adult Services is responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring and supervision of the services of the Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center (CPRC) program in accordance with agency policies and procedures, contractual requirements and certification requirements.
B. DUTIES
1. Develop, implement and provide oversight of all programs and services offered by CPRC, including PSR.
2. Create staff development and training plans for CPRC staff.
3. Evaluate the effectiveness of the programs and performance of staff to meet established program goals and objectives.
4. Develop and implement community relations, and act as a liaison between referral sources, other agency programs, and staff.
5. Cooperate with other agency staff to assure smooth functioning of shared responsibilities in related programs.
6. Maintain a policy and procedure manual, and orientation manuals that reflect the current operation of the CPRC.
7. Provide oversight of the fiscal operation of the CPRC.
8. Oversee regular chart audits, internal CPRC audits, and quality assurance chart reviews.
9. Participate in Quality Assurance and Utilization Review activities as assigned.
10. Complete and sign documentation or related paperwork contemporaneously with service provision (within five (5) business days) and in accordance with agency and certification standards.
11. Compile and submit necessary reports for accountability requirements in a timely manner.
12. Open assigned charts and arrange for timely completion of initial and annual psychosocial assessments.
13. Attend pertinent training scheduled by the Department of Mental Health and agency, pursuant to training plan developed in conjunction with the Executive Director.
14. Serve as a QMHP to provide crisis intervention and resolution services for the agency on a back-up or emergency basis, plus QMHP on-call rotation.
15. Provide oversight of building and transportation safety documentation in compliance with the agency’s policy and procedure manual.
16. Maintain current CPR certification and First Aid certification.
17. Maintain client confidentiality.
18. Perform related duties as requested to carry out the purposes, goals and objectives of the CPRC program and the agency.
C. QUALIFICATIONS
1. Master’s or Doctorate Degree in counseling psychology, social work, guidance and counseling or related field and has had two (2) years experience under the supervision of a mental health professional; and
2. Appropriate certification/licensure for a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP); and
3. Minimum of two (2) years successful supervisory experience in an agency involving service to the mentally ill; and
4. Demonstrate knowledge of mental health programs and skills necessary to facilitate organization and program objectives.
5. Possess a valid driver’s license, automobile and required liability insurance.
