Loan Financial Assistant
OBJECTIVE:
Provide support to the Loan & Accounting Departments including servicing of the loan portfolio, performing fiscal duties that are associated with the Loan Program, and accounts receivable management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of the job include but are not limited to the following:
1. Maintain loan client paper and electronic files.
2. Monitor and analyze compliance with loan agreement covenants including annual employment verifications, and updated insurance and financial information.
3. Manage UCC filings and mortgages for collateral and initiate UCC continuations/terminations and recording of mortgage satisfactions.
4. Maintain client portfolio management system.
5. Prepare and submit quarterly/semi-annual/annual funding source reports and generate data reports as needed.
6. Respond to inquiries from loan clients including loan account activity and payoff quotes.
7. Prepare and enter Loan Program journal entries/metrics in Executive Pulse, and loans closed in Impact map.
8. Provide administrative support to the Loan Program.
9. Perform accounting functions for all financial transactions of the Loan Program including receipts and disbursements of funds, month and fiscal year-end processing, bank account and general ledger reconciliations.
10. Prepare and record loan payments to client accounts.
11. Manage and record ACH loan payments.
12. Quantify and record economic impacts of the Economic Development Department using IMPLAN data system.
13. Prepare and record daily deposits.
14. Manage general accounts receivable by generating invoices, processing and recording payments, and preparing and entering journal entries.
15. Manage all accounting related duties regarding the North Central internet program, including monthly invoicing, processing and recording payments, preparing and submitting journal entries, refunding payments, and account reconciliation.
16. Provide support to the accounting department by generating audit reports, general account reconciliation, and other duties as assigned.
17. Provide necessary supporting documentation to facilitate invoicing and secure reimbursement of funds from State and Federal Government entities.
18. Execute necessary process improvement projects as needed.
19. All other duties as assigned

INTERFACE:
Internal - Must interface positively with the Loan Program Director, Enterprise Development Department, and Finance Department staff.
External - Must maintain positive rapport with loan clients and counsel, members of the Loan Review Committee, solicitor office staff, resource network partners, and funding source contacts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education –High School diploma or Associate Degree in accounting, business, or public administration preferred.
Experience – 1-3 years of related administrative experience.

- Frequent reaching and handling of documents.
- Vision and hearing correctable to within normal range.
