Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and welfare, ensuring that all animals in our facility receive the highest level of attention and care. This role involves working closely with pets, providing daily care, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for both the animals and staff.

Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and other animal housing facilities.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed.
- Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their pets’ well-being and address any concerns.
- Support dog training initiatives and assist with behavioral assessments when necessary.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills in animal handling and care.

Requirements
- Previous experience in animal care or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus.
- Strong skills in animal handling and restraint to ensure safe interactions with various breeds.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
