Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Daycare Assistant to join our team and support the growth and development of these young children in a nurturing, safe environment.
Duties:
- Assist in the supervision of infant and toddler age children during playtime, meals, and nap times.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Communicate effectively with teen parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Implement daily activities that promote learning and development, including educational games and creative projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including sanitizing toys and play areas regularly.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team atmosphere focused on child development.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience working with or engaging culturally diverse families and communities.
- Associate’s Degree, two years of post-high school education, or successful completion of the Paraprofessional assessment.
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, and/or defibrillator use (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to manage frequent interruptions, shifting tasks, and priorities.
- Skills to assist and support emotional or frustrated students calmly and effectively.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn classroom management and student discipline techniques.
- Strong English language skills for communication and modeling proper usage.
- Ability to organize, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information (FERPA compliance).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using computers, office software, and student information systems.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $20.86 - $29.36 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
