Painter - North Cornwall Commons Apartments

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces by removing old paint, patching holes, and fixing cracks to ensure smooth surfaces for painting.

• Mix and apply paints and finishes based on project specifications, ensuring the right colors and techniques are used.

• Apply paint and other finishes to both interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.

• Safeguard surrounding areas by covering surfaces with protective drop cloths or masking tape and paper.

• Fill cracks, gaps, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other appropriate fillers for a clean, finished look.

• Maintain cleanliness of tools and work areas after completing each job.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience as a painter, ideally in the construction or apartment industry.

• Expertise in various painting methods and the use of industry-standard tools.

• Familiarity with a wide range of paints, finishes, and their proper application.

• Ability to interpret blueprints and follow detailed instructions.

• Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality results and craftsmanship.

• Physical endurance to perform tasks such as standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

• Ability to work fast and efficiently.

• Ability to lift 70 lbs.

Desired Skills:

• Caulking and filler application techniques.

• Drywall patching and sanding.

• Experience in remodeling and renovation projects.

• Carpentry and drywall installation and repair knowledge.

• Exterior concrete cleaning and painting.

• Ability to estimate construction costs and materials.

• Familiarity with construction painting methods.

• Restoration and renovation experience.

• All other maintenance skills (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
