Description
North Country HealthCare (NCHC) is a teaching health center one of Arizona's leaders in health professions training, spearheaded by the Colorado Plateau Center for Health Professionals (CPCHP), its education department and embedded Area Health Education Center (AHEC). The Education Program Coordinator (Evaluation & Research) serves as the data liaison to the Arizona AHEC Program and leads the data collection and evaluation activities for CPCHP. In addition, in consultation with other staff, this position coordinates and provides administrative oversight of research, quality improvement, and evaluation projects for North Country HealthCare. The service area includes the NCHC network of community health centers, the northern counties of Arizona (Coconino, Navajo, Yavapai, and Apache), and focuses on rural and medically underserved areas.
Duties
- Develop and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships with government, tribal, healthcare, academic, private, non-profit and other institutions.
- Consult with faculty researchers, staff, residents, and students at NCHC and in partner institutions on the design of research projects and the preparation of clinical and community-based research proposals.
- Develop and implement research and quality improvement application, approval, and monitoring processes.
- Participate in the NCHC Research Committee and facilitate research project review processes, including institutional review by the Governing Board and other entities.
- Serve as the data liaison for the Arizona AHEC Program and be the primary person responsible for entry of service data into applicable software programs.
- Design program data and evaluation surveys and coordinate data collection for youth health career preparation, clinical training, graduate medical education, and continuing education programs.
- Lead and/or support specific healthcare workforce development programs as assigned.
- Set measurable goals and objectives and fulfill relevant grant and contract scopes of work and accreditation standards (as applicable). Monitor and report on progress.
- Utilize various software platforms for program monitoring, data collection, and analysis. Collect and maintain program data for reporting and evaluation.
- Develop and produce regular data reports, evaluation summaries, and analyses of program outcomes for internal and grant reporting. Develop and implement longitudinal follow up processes for contacting program graduates.
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships and collaborative partnerships with all clinic staff, clients, healthcare institutions, academic institutions, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Create and/or maintain external program advertising/media through websites, social media, and publications. Create and/or edit publications regarding the program.
- Develop applicable policies and procedures and implement process improvement efforts.
- Interface with high level internal and external contacts at various institutions, requiring considerable discretion, initiative, motivation and follow through.
- Participate in program sustainability building (i.e. grant writing, fundraising), as applicable.
- Monitor program/project spending and adhere to program budget, as applicable.
- Plan and coordinate events including the annual research symposium, monthly research committee meetings, and other events and conferences as assigned.
- Interface with researchers, partners and students on a daily basis, supportively addressing issues and needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 years' related experience and training.
- Arizona Driver's License
Compensation
Starting at $25.53/hr DOE
