Description
Under the general administrative direction of the Clinic Manager and the clinical direction of the Clinic's Lead Medical Provider, the radiologist performs all general diagnostic radiology procedures per their scope of practice and skills list. Radiologist procedures are completed according to established ARRT guidelines as well as according to clinic protocols.
Duties
- Perform general medical x-ray imaging for urgent care, primary care, and walk-in patients following clinician orders.
- Ensure radiation safety practices are followed for patients, staff, and technologists..
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images efficiently and accurately.
- Safely obtain blood and urine samples and perform urine drug screens and alcohol breath testing per federal guidelines.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to complete x-ray / lab exams safely and efficiently.
- Operate x-ray and lab equipment, maintaining proficiency in ALARA radiation safety practices and lab test handling.
- Accurately input patient data into electronic medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Participate in professional development, maintain required certifications, and resolve equipment issues as needed.
