What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Day Janitor position at North Country Smokehouse?
This position will be responsible for cleaning bathrooms, R&D Kitchen, Laundry, floors, breakroom, etc while ensuring safe actions, environmental compliance, and quality production in a Good Manufacturing Practice food-grade operation. All in compliance with the standards of wholesomeness, hygiene, health & safety at work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure trash is emptied in offices on a daily basis
- Ensure cleanliness of bathrooms, including floors kept clean and trash emptied
- Each room checked during the day for stocking, trash, supplies, etc
- Cigarette Butt cans outside emptied
- Floor in R&D kitchen
- Daily Laundry of smocks and gloves
- Ensures all specifications and procedures for quality assurance and control are met
- Establishes a strong team spirit in its departments by promoting communication and respect
- Performs other tasks at the request of his immediate superior
IN COLLABORATION WITH:
- Production
- Quality Control
- Warehouse
- Administration
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- Able to pass Criminal background check, physical and drug screen
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Highly detail oriented and meticulous
- Autonomy, versatility, thoroughness and resourcefulness
- Good judgment (initiative)
- Must be self motivated and be able to stay on task with little supervision
- Strong commitment to teamwork and concern for others (promote a team-building environment)
- Organizational skills required.
- High level of personal responsibility and ownership
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Follow and promote safe work practices
