Summary of Work
In the Retail Banking Specialist role, you will be at the heart of our daily banking operations. You will handle all types of monetary transactions, processing deposits and withdrawals, managing electronic transfers, issuing cashier's checks, redeeming savings bonds, and balancing everything from cash drawers to vaults and general ledgers. You'll open, close, and maintain accounts for both internal and external customers, set up ATM cards, and monitor mobile deposits. Along the way, you'll help track down transaction errors, handle stop payment requests and ensure everything you do aligns with federal banking regulations and internal policies. Your responsibilities will also extend to our cash vault services. You'll reconcile vault inventory daily, submit and verify weekly currency and coin orders, and process monthly billing for cash vault services. You'll also maintain customer service agreements and keep our vault customer profiles up to date.

Minimum Qualifications
This position requires a high school diploma or GED and three years of work experience in banking or customer service. The hiring authority may substitute accredited accounting, banking, business, or computer coursework for a portion of the required work experience if it provided the knowledge and skills required to perform the core competencies of the position to be filled.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with the Fiserv Premier core banking system and the Fiserv Integrated Teller application.
- Experience with consumer and business account opening processes and systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment with diverse colleagues and customers.
