What are the responsibilities and job description for the Addiction Counselor Clinical Supervisor position at North Dakota Corrections & Rehab?
Summary of Work
To provide treatment and rehabilitative opportunities to offenders in recidivism reduction efforts.
Coordinate recidivism reduction programming at the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation at James River Correctional Center to include trainee supervision, program development, and quality assurance of all evidence-based practices (EBP) addiction programs and services. Coordinate treatment group schedules and participants, provide clinical oversight and guidance to trainees and ensure they are effectively addressing criminogenic thinking and alcohol/drug issues. This position is located in a medium-security prison and has daily contact with residents. This position is required to respond to emergencies throughout the facility, facilitate addiction and other groups, and provide other treatment services.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a currently Licensed Clinal Addiction Counselor OR Licensed Master Addiction Counselor by the North Dakota Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners and have three (3) years of experience in a private or public addiction treatment facility.
Also requires certification as a Clinical Supervisor by the North Dakota Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners. A master's degree may substitute for one year of the experience requirement.
