Position Information
The College of Agriculture Business Service Center is looking a Business Coordinator to join their team. This position will support the Vet Diagnostic Lab and Department of Microbiological Sciences Department “This position will support the Vet Diagnostics Lab and Department of Microbiological Sciences.” . It will assist with the oversight of budget, accounting, financial reporting and HR / Payroll functions for the department. The position will serve as a source of policy and procedural knowledge; therefore, problem solving and strong attention to detail are essential to this role. In addition, the ability to communicate effectively, be flexible, and exhibit a positive and professional attitude directly contributes to the success of the entire team.
Work Schedule : Monday-Friday Academic Year 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm / Summer hours 7 : 30am-4 : 00pm
Advertised Salary : $49,000 / year depending on experience.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or; Associates degree with 3 years direct experience or; 5 years direct experience within an office setting that provides incumbent with the knowledge, skill, and ability to successfully perform the job
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and to work independently
- Attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office – specifically Microsoft Excel
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to contribute to a professional and team work environment in a positive and flexible manner
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to respect and work well with people of diverse populations
