What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Women's Strength Coach position at North Durham Fitness?
North Durham Fitness is looking for a part time qualified trainer who is truly passionate about working with women. This position is specifically for our Women's Strength Class on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:00am. In addition to this class, there are personal training opportunities if desired.
Candidates must have a strong desire to motivate and inspire clients in a positive, uplifting manner. Candidates should be self-starters as they will be involved in several creative processes such as assisting in the programming of daily workouts, developing social media marketing content, and conducting 1-on-1 nutrition and goal setting meetings with clients. Candidates must have an unwavering commitment to exemplify the company’s mission statement, values, and 6 pillars of success.
Description and Role: We're looking for a self-motivated, highly energetic professional who understands the needs of women, from clients who want to lose weight to those who are building muscle for athletic pursuits. We place a large emphasis on individual attention and it is imperative we get to know all of our client's names, capabilities, injury histories, etc...
Job Type: Part Time
Salary: $15.75 to $37.50 /class or client
Experience:
- Experienced Certified Personal Trainer. Must hold current fitness certification from an approved education company such as ACSM, ACE, NASM, NCSA, AFFA, NFPT (NCCA Certified) or degree in an exercise science related field.
- Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized
- Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills
- Desire and capacity to train all fitness levels
- CPR/AED certification (required)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Education: High school or equivalent

Hours per week: 3-5 (additional opportunities available beyond 5 hours)
Looking to fill morning women's strength classes (8:00am).
Additional Group Fitness classes are available in the evenings and some Saturday classes. Specialty programs available, as well as, personal training.
