What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strength and Conditioning Coach position at P4S Golf?
ROLE
As a P4S Golf S&C Coach, your job is to give every P4S Golf Athlete an amazing experience and help them get great results. You will work closely with each client to make sure they get top-level service, just like at Augusta National Golf Club. You will use science-based programs to help them get stronger, more flexible, faster and reduce pain.
To be a high level P4S S&C Coach, you need to be great at working with clients in a one on one and group setting, solving problems, answering questions, and finding ways to improve their experience. You’ll also need to think critically, speak well with clients and teammates, and stay positive.
You are the main person clients will talk to during their training, so it’s important to keep a “can do” attitude and make sure they have everything they need to succeed throughout their time with us.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Assessments & Program Design:
- Conduct initial fitness assessments designed by P4S to evaluate clients' current fitness levels, identify their goals, and understand any limitations or injuries.
- Create customized training programs based on clients' goals, fitness levels, and preferences, incorporating a variety of exercises to keep workouts engaging and effective.
- Regularly monitor client progress and adjust training programs as needed to ensure they are continuously challenged and improving.
Coaching & Instruction:
- Provide one-on-one or small group training sessions, offering guidance on proper exercise techniques and form to prevent injury and maximize results.
- Demonstrate exercises, explain the benefits of each movement, and ensure that clients are performing exercises correctly.
- Offer encouragement, motivation, and feedback throughout each session, fostering a supportive and engaging environment.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with clients, offering ongoing support, advice, and encouragement to help them stay committed to their fitness goals.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, addressing any concerns or challenges they may face during their fitness journey.
- Track and record client progress, including fitness milestones and goal achievements, and celebrate successes.
Health & Safety:
- Ensure all workouts are conducted in a safe manner, adapting exercises as needed to accommodate injuries or limitations.
- Stay current on safety protocols and equipment usage to minimize the risk of injury during workouts.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of training areas and equipment, reporting any safety concerns or issues.
Professional Development:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest fitness trends, research, and techniques, and incorporate new methods into training programs.
- Continuously expand knowledge by attending workshops, obtaining certifications, and staying current with continuing education requirements.
Sales & Client Retention:
- Assist in attracting new clients by conducting free consultations, offering introductory training sessions, and promoting the benefits of personal training.
- Help clients understand the value of ongoing training, building long-term relationships to ensure high client retention rates.
- Support marketing efforts by promoting personal training services, contributing content to social media, or attending community events (if applicable).
RESULTS:
- Coaches track Class Utilization Rates Daily in S&C Tracker
- Coaches track attendance of each individual member, and reach out after 2 weeks of no attendance
- Maintain a 65% minimum renewal rate of one on one clients
- All active clients should have an active program at all times
- Clients are tested regularly on the P4S scheduled cadence
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.
- Certified personal trainer through a nationally recognized organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, ISSA).
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a personal trainer or fitness instructor.
- Experience working with a variety of clients, from beginners to advanced fitness levels.
- Knowledge of exercise science, fitness programming, and injury prevention.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire clients.
- Ability to design creative and effective workouts tailored to individual client needs.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and schedules.
- A positive, energetic attitude and a passion for health and fitness.
LOCATION:
- On Site at P4S Golf Headquarters
SCHEDULE:
- Monday-Friday, Full Time
- Willingness to work some 6am shifts
SALARY:
- $45,000-$50,000 plus bonus
