What are the responsibilities and job description for the PROJECT COORDINATOR - IT position at North East Medical Services?
The Project Coordinator on the Technology team will primarily assist IT teams for helping the NEMS Enterprise to deliver healthcare from the heart. You will use your project management skills to coordinate various projects, end to end user trainings, and ensure clinical & operations teams are fully supported as they launch initiatives/projects and programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supports the development of project plans and implementation timelines to meet goals and deadlines
- Able to coordinate multiple projects efficiently and effectively at the same time
- Organizes and facilitates meetings and creates presentations to provide status updates
- Able to independently problem solve project issues
- Able to assess and report on project progress
- Performs research by gathering data from a variety of healthcare sources, including internal and external data/research
- Provides support for various projects across IT organization
- Documents project workflows and learns new project management tools as needed
- Acts as primary contact for all assigned projects
- Documents project scope/requirements, success criteria, and expectations related to hardware, software, and user activities
- Document and monitors objectives, detailed project plans for tracking progress
- Coordinate and collaborate with multiple teams across the organization including vendors and/or systems that meet business use cases, defining deliverables, and key milestones.
- Able to capture business requirements, translate them into technology implementation for building consensus with clinical and operations
- Monitors and controls the overall project performance and quality against plan
- Define, track, and communicate deployment/implementation plans and training plans to all stakeholders in a regular cadence with guidance where needed
- Communicates and presents project status to a variety of different audiences.
- Adapts to competing priorities, strong knowledge of scrum/agile/SDLC methodologies
- Able to use MS office tools, build slides eloquently
- Demonstrate continuous learning and improvement
- Facilitates improvement efforts and develops implementation recommendations.
- Holds all project resources accountable and escalates when necessary
- Performs other job duties as required by manager/supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering or relevant field required.
- 3 year experience of IT or business project management experience preferably in a healthcare setting
- 3 years of experience using Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Outlook etc)
- 2 years of experience using Jira and confluence with sprint project management
- Detailed oriented and thorough even while working on tight deadlines
- Quick learner of organizational knowledge of clinical workflows and technology implementations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Master’s degree and/or Project Management certification desired
Preferred:
- 3 years of working with Project Plan tools like MPP, SmartSheet etc.
- 3 years of experience in business analysis
- Certified scrum master or Agile Certification like SAFe
- Experience working with Epic or other ambulatory/inpatient clinical applications
LANGUAGE:
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Ability to speak a second language is an asset.
STATUS:
- This is an FLSA Non-Exempt position.
- This is not an OSHA high-risk position.
