North End Teleservices seeks a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our team. The Procurement Specialist will manage the procurement process, ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining the highest standards of quality and cost-effectiveness. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will support the organization's operational needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Purchase Order Process: Oversee the end-to-end purchase order process, including creation, tracking, and management. Ensure purchase orders are issued accurately and timely, by company policies and procedures.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with new and existing vendors. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure the best terms and conditions for the company.
  • Cost Management: Work closely with the finance team to track and manage procurement costs. Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to forecast procurement needs. Ensure that stock levels are maintained to support business operations without overstocking.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant legal requirements. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Supplier Performance: Evaluate supplier performance regularly and ensure that vendors meet quality and delivery expectations. Address and resolve any issues related to supplier performance.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and provide solutions that align with the company's objectives. Facilitate communication between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance to the CFO. Provide insights and recommendations for strategic procurement planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field or relevant working experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with procurement software.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus.

  • Ensures accuracy in purchase orders, contracts, and other documentation.
  • Strong ability to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
