Architectural Draftsman

HIGH-END COMMERCIAL BUILDER, DESIGNER ARCHITECHTS construction company is seeking anExperienced and knowledgeable Architechture draftsman

You will be working with a top MIT architecture graduate and premier builder and designers.This position will offer you the opportunity to utilize and expand your drafting skills, while working in a multi-disciplined team environment with architects, designers and engineers in the preparation of design drawings based on design input.

Key responsibilities:

• You will have the opportunity to apply your computer-aided drafting skills.
• master sketches to scale showing relation of proposed installations to existing facilities and exact specifications and dimensions.
• Communicate with the hiring manager to ensure deadlines and projects.
• Producing 2D drawings for civil/structural and mechanical components for construction.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of at least 10 years experience in commercial buildings.
• Associate's Degree in drafting, or a high school diploma and equivalent technical design experience.
• Drafting experience using standard computer drafting tools (AutoCAD)
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer.
• Formal training and experience using Revit a plus
• Ability to multi-task from project to project.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and software tools.
• Previous experience in a construction environment is a plus.
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to read, understand, and produce construction drawings and details
