Job Summary
The Engineering Project Manager will oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed to the satisfaction of stakeholders. You will work closely with a team of engineers and other professionals to set project goals, develop project plans, and manage project resources. You will also communicate with clients or customers to understand their needs and ensure that the project meets their requirements. You are responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of intricate designs, and evaluating and approving changes that may affect the scope, budget, and completion of a project, as well as perform other essential tasks, including monitoring the project's progress and budget.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage engineering and CAD teams to complete all project tasks with quality and on-time delivery;
- Coordinate and participate in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors;
- Provide forward planning and leadership;
- Have familiarity with all aspects of engineering design and criteria related to land development projects, including site grading and drainage, sanitary sewers, water main design, storm sewers, roadways, earthwork, erosion and sediment control, ADA compliance, stormwater management, pavement markings, and signage;
- Share experiences and insight with the design team to help the team produce deliverables that are sound and follow local design standards, criteria, guidelines, and engineering practices;
- Recognize out-of-scope work and react in a timely manner so extra work isn’t performed without authorization from the client;
- Conduct quality control checks, reviewing calculations, designs, evaluations, and specifications developed by design staff for accuracy and completeness;
- Recommend changes or improvements to plans and programs;
- Perform duties like budgeting, financial management, schedule coordination and resources allocation;
- Participate in project opportunity evaluation, consultant selection, and preparation of firm’s qualification/experience statements; and
- Participate in evaluating performance of team members during annual and mid-year review processes.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field;
- Relevant professional experience in project management;
- Strong technical knowledge of engineering principles; and
- Proficiency in project management software and CAD.
Required License
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
