North Florida Retirement Village is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Medical Records Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately documenting and maintaining medical records in a secure and confidential manner, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities :
- Accurately and efficiently enter patient information into electronic medical records system
- Review and verify patient information for completeness and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with privacy and security regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient records
- Process medical record requests, both internally and from external sources, in a timely and accurate manner
- Follow up on missing or incomplete documentation or information
- Prepare and scan documents into electronic medical records system
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding medical records requests and inquiries
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of medical records through regular quality audits
- Keep track of upcoming appointments and ensure all necessary paperwork is in order
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure efficient and accurate record keeping
- Continuously expand knowledge of medical terminologies and procedures to accurately interpret and record information
- Other duties as assigned
