Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clerk and Intake Room Sorter to join our dynamic team at our thrift store. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations, including pricing, putting out inventory, and greeting/checking out customers. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform some heavy lifting. Days may be flexible, however every other Saturday is a MUST. Hours are 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through Saturday - this is a 3-4 day position. This position does require reference check as well as criminal history.
Duties
- Greet and assist people donating items in intake area.
- Load and unload donations as needed.
- Sort and price donations to stock main store floor.
- Use Clover system to check out customers on main floor.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Collaborate with manager, director and other employees to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in a thrift store or similar environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with nonprofit is a plus.
- Ability to perform some heavy lifting as required by the role - assist in moving furniture donations etc.
- Knowledge of Clover system is advantageous but not mandatory.
