POSITION SUMMARY: The Football Running Backs Coach will oversee the development and performance of the running backs for the North Greenville University football team. This position is responsible for mentoring players, assisting in game planning, and contributing to the team’s overall success. The coach will work closely with the offensive staff to foster a competitive, disciplined, and Christ-centered environment for student-athletes.

- Develop and implement training plans tailored to enhance the skills and performance of running backs.
- Provide instruction and guidance on techniques, schemes, and situational plays specific to the running back position.
- Assist in developing offensive game plans and collaborate with the Offensive Coordinator and other staff members.
- Plan and conduct running backs’ position-specific drills during practices and games.
- Recruit and retain talented student-athletes who align with the University’s mission and values.
- Monitor and support the academic progress of student-athletes to maintain eligibility and encourage success in academics.
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and Christ-centered team culture that promotes growth both on and off the field.
- Analyze game film to identify areas for improvement and develop corrective action plans for running backs.
- Participate in team events, community engagement activities, and fundraising efforts as needed.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and University policies and regulations.
- Ability to hear and communicate effectively with co-workers, players, and staff.
- Frequently convey detailed or important coaching instructions and ideas accurately, clearly, and quickly.
- Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds of force regularly.
- Capacity to demonstrate and instruct various football techniques, including agility and conditioning drills.
- Maintain the physical fitness required to participate in and oversee rigorous practices and games.
- Strong visual and auditory abilities to analyze performances and provide immediate feedback.
- Willingness and ability to travel and endure long hours during games, practices, and recruiting activities.
- A minimum of three years of football coaching experience, preferably with a focus on running backs or offense.
- Proven ability to develop and mentor student athletes both athletically and personally.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a commitment to mentoring and developing student athletes.
