Position Summary
North Greenville University's Theatre Department seeks part-time instructor/adjunct to teach an 8-week Sound Design and Technology course. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to design run sound technology for academic performances, supervise and maintain sound equipment, and teach an elective beginning sound design course, focusing on the tools and technology of creating and mounting a sound design.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach classes as assigned
- Design and/or oversee design of sound for shows
- Maintain sound equipment inventory
Physical Requirements
- Hearing: Hear well enough to teach classes, interact with students, etc.
- Dexterity: Ability to work with computers, cables, microphones
- Mobility: Teach classes, maneuver grid and lighting/sound booth
- Talking: Teaching classes, mentor students, etc.
- Cognitive/Emotional: Ability to critically think, concentrate, etc.
- Masters degree or equivalent experience in theatrical design and technology
- Experience and a passion for teaching
- Experience other areas of theatre
- Evidence of scholarly potential
- The willingness and ability to mentor students
- A personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
