The Business Systems Analyst position requires a professional who can bridge the gap between technical and business stakeholders, ensure system quality, and manage requirements.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Business Systems Analyst / Functional Analyst in the Health Insurance Exchange (HIX) or health insurance industry. And should have working knowledge of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), related systems, processes, and relevant regulations.

You Will
System Quality Assurance and Monitoring
- Conduct daily system monitoring and quality assurance checks.
- Lead defect triage meetings and coordinate resolution with vendors.
- Generate and deliver system QA reports.
- Monitor and analyze key application indicators and data anomaly reports.
- Serve as a liaison between technical and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate with system vendor on issue resolution and data corrections.
- Facilitate communication between various teams and leadership.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on enterprise applications and workflows.
- Develop and maintain user guides, reference manuals, and training materials.
- Support execution of annual processes (e.g., Periodic Data Match, 1095-A, Auto-Renewals)
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and develop presentations for business teams.
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Create detailed requirement elaboration documents.
- Facilitate stakeholder sessions to gather feedback and validate results.
- Review system design documents and provide feedback.
- 3 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably in the Health Insurance Exchange or health insurance industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis, gap analysis, and process mapping.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficiency in requirements elicitation, documentation, and management.
- Experience with system quality assurance processes and defect management.
- Familiarity with project management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
- Experience with State Based Marketplace / State Based Exchange systems.
- Knowledge of Affordable Care Act systems, processes, and relevant regulations.
- Experience in functional analysis and business process improvements.
