Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those struggling with addiction? We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor to lead individual and group counseling sessions in our Chemical Health Outpatient Services.
What You’ll Do:
- Empower Clients: Lead engaging individual and group counseling sessions to support clients on their recovery journey.
- Comprehensive Care: Manage all aspects of client care, including intakes, admissions, assessments, treatment planning, discharge, and aftercare.
- Flexible Support: Assist with emergent and overflow Chemical Health Assessments as needed, ensuring timely and effective care.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor client funding and billing, ensuring all services are documented accurately and in compliance with agency guidelines.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Develop and maintain strong written and verbal communication skills to enhance client and family interactions.
- Adhere to confidentiality and mandatory reporting laws, creating a safe and trustworthy environment for clients.
Documentation & Professional Growth:
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly to facilitate timely billing.
- Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to stay current in the field and enhance your skills.

Requirements
- Current licensure as an Alcohol and Drug counselor by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy
- An alcohol and drug counselor providing treatment services to adolescents must have:
- An additional 30 hours of classroom instruction or one three-credit semester college course in adolescent development. This training need only be completed one time; and
- At least 150 hours of supervised experience as an adolescent counselor, either as a student or as a staff member.
- Individual must be non-judgmental in regards to lifestyle, race and/or economic status of clients.
- Must be 21 years old and have a valid Minnesota Drivers License.
Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
