ADULT EDUCATION & LITERACY INSTRUCTOR - ESL(PART-TIME)
CATEGORY / LEVEL : Part-time Position
BASIC FUNCTION : Work as a member of the Adult Education & Literacy (AEL) team. Facilitateassessments and teach English as a Second Language (ESL) courses. Advocate forstudents, demonstrating sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic,socioeconomic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds of AEL students, including thosewith physical and learning disabilities.
Classschedules vary by community. The average week includes 6-10 hours ofinstruction and prep time. Currentopenings available in Osage (Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2 : 00-3 : 30 p.m.) andin Britt (one night per week from 5 : 00-8 : 00 p.m.).
STARTDATE : ASAP
SALARY AND BENEFITS : Salaryof $21.65 per hour, not to exceed 29 hours per week. This position is noteligible for benefits.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's degree required. Excellent computer skills and the ability to work with instructional technology. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Organized, dependable, and excellent communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Education-focused degree and teaching experience preferred, as well as experience working with adult or high school students including those with educational and personal barriers.

Perform in a manner which strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of the College, including opportunities for student recruitment.
