SALARY AND BENEFITS: Starting salary of $37,600 to $45,200 based on experience. Benefits package includes Blue Cross/Blue Shield major medical health insurance; eye care, dental, life and disability insurance; paid vacation and sick leave; a choice of IPERS or TIAA retirement plans, and a variety of additional optional benefits.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum two years postsecondary education or minimum of two years related work experience or acceptable combination. Proficient with Microsoft Office products. Excellent customer service, communication and critical thinking skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in related field. Experience in Human Resources and/or SHRM certification.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Coordinate and manage the employee onboarding and offboarding experiences and provide guidance and support to supervisors related to the employee onboarding experience.
- Create content for departmental social media, job advertisements, and new hire announcements using Canva, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of employment paperwork, including the employment paperwork from new hires, payroll certificates, and exit forms and resulting preparation of monthly board documentation.
- Coordinate employee offboarding process and schedule exit interviews for the Director of Human Resources.
- Serve as primary administrator of Cornerstone OnDemand human resource management system and facilitate continuous process improvement within the system.
- Manage open enrollment and new hire periods for benefits utilizing Employee Navigator system to ensure all eligible have completed the enrollment process.
- Manage employee benefits including tuition reimbursement, continuing education incentives, longevity awards, retirements (including the early retirement incentive).
- Coordinate and administer faculty and staff performance evaluation and upward evaluation processes and maintain up-to-date evaluation records.
- Serve as an active member of the Wellness & Culture Team. Responsible for development, implementation, and oversight of employee wellness programs and service project initiatives. Manage the employee wellness budget.
- Responsible for planning and execution of employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Assist with planning campus-wide meetings, employee professional development and training plans.
- Assist Director of Human Resources with collection and auditing of data for state and federal reporting.
- Actively contribute to process improvements within the HR Department.
- Maintain accurate and complete human resources files, records, and documentation; answer frequently asked questions from employees relative to policies, benefits, and other HR processes; maintain integrity and confidentiality of personnel/employment matters; and diplomatically channel sensitive interactions with College personnel and the general public.
- Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Maintain strong organizational skills, demonstrate reliability, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Fulfill other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
