Job Description Information Management: Responsible for the chart management of Trauma Registry patients Responsible for collecting and analyzing data Responsible for working collaboratively with the trauma program staff, clinical staff, and Trauma Program Manager to collect and submit data in a timely manner. Responsible for independently managing their case load and reporting data. Trauma chart audit Electronic entry of 500 or more data points per patient Determines data accuracy and makes corrections Data retrieval and reporting quarterly Identifies and implements creative approaches to data management, formatting, and reporting Designs analytical and presentation tools Customer Service: Works with Trauma Registrar Coordinator and Trauma Program Manager. External: Develops working relationship with Trauma Team members including Clinical Quality. Organization : Organization skills to meet deadlines for data submission and retrieval. Job Knowledge: High School Diploma required; AA degree in related field preferred Strong typing and data entry skills is a must Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and other clinical skills needed in order to read and interpret medical documentation. Working knowledge of computer and software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint as well as other office equipment including fax machine and copier. Excellent word processing skills with ability to format documents for professional appearance in an accurate and timely manner. Ability to work with intricate details, figures, and large volumes of data to produce reports. Organizational skills to keep times schedule for data submission and retrieval. Ability to audit medical records for pre-defined measures.
