Job Description for Paramedic
We are seeking a Per Diem/PRN Paramedic to provide emergency care in a prompt, resourceful and efficient manner to all patients transported via ambulance services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient condition using assessment skills and written protocols
- Provide safe and appropriate level of care transport of patients (emergency and routine)
- Maintain communication with multi-disciplinary team members through various channels
- Project the caring, friendly, and servant image of NMHS to employees, other hospital/pre-hospital workers, and the community
- Maintain competency by staying informed of changing trends in paramedical practice and emergency medicine
Requirements:
- Nationally registered Paramedic certification
- Valid Mississippi Paramedic License within two weeks of hire
- Effective communication and teaching skills
- General knowledge of regulatory and accrediting standards
- Maintenance of required certifications as set forth by the department
