**Job Summary**
The Surgical Technologist is responsible for supporting surgical teams during procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment, and ensuring efficient use of resources. This role requires excellent communication and teamwork skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
**Responsibilities**
Surgical Support:
- Assisting surgeons with medical procedures, including handing instruments, sponges, sutures, catheters, dressings, and other necessary items.
- Providing support to the surgical team during complex procedures.
* Decontaminating, cleaning, and sterilizing instruments according to hospital policy and procedure.* Maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment.
**Education and Experience**
- High School Diploma or Equivalent*
- Surgical Tech Certification from an Accredited Program or 1 year of experience in lieu of certification
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
- 3-6 months of orientation/training depending on experience
