We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Surgical Technician Leader at North Mississippi Health Services. Responsibilities
- Preparing surgical procedures by selecting supplies, instruments, and equipment.
- Maintaining sterility of operating field and controlling any contamination of that field.
- Assisting surgeon as a scrubbed member of the team by performing nurse supervised duties such as handing instruments, sponges, sutures, catheters, dressings as needed.
- Decontaminating, cleaning, and sterilizing instruments for re-use according to hospital policy and procedure.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited school of operating room Technician or 5 years OR experience.
- Surgical Tech certification from an Accredited program within 1 Year.
- Three to six months of orientation/training depending on experience, including a rotation in each of the surgical specialties.
