Located in Oxford, the North Mississippi Regional Center (NMRC) is one of five comprehensive regional centers under the authority of the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. Licensed as an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID), the NMRC provides an array of services to individuals in the northern 32 counties of the state. Job Description/Requirements:
The Diagnostic Services Department at the NMRC is a multidisciplinary team of professionals who assess individuals for the presence of Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and make referrals for services. Psychometrists are under the direct supervision and oversight of an appropriately licensed or certified behavioral health professional/psychologist. Individuals in this position conduct assessments of intelligence, achievement, adaptive functioning, and behavioral functioning.
Requires a master's degree or Ed.S., a minimum of 5-6 years of experience, and licensure or certification.
Graduate level training and experience in assessment/testing (e.g., IQ, adaptive, academic, behavioral, etc.) is required, along with strong writing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychometric assessments and evaluations
- Administer and interpret standardized tests/questionnaires and write reports
- Collaborate with other professionals to develop support needs and appropriate referrals
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
