Summary :
Responsible for recruitment of qualified physicians for the medical staff of the hospital and assisting in the development of strategic physician recruitment plans for the institution. Assists in methods aimed at retaining medical staff members through practice enhancement and development activities.
Other information :
1. Five to seven years of experience in outside sales is preferred. Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
2. Specialized or Technical Education Required : Baccalaureate degree in management, marketing or communications; or eight years management experience to substitute for a baccalaureate degree. Real Estate Agent certification preferred, but not required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
3. Manual or Physical Skill Required : Must be proficient in both verbal and written communication skills.
4. Physical Effort Required : Must be in good overall physical health. Position requires some lifting and transferring.

Responsibilities :
Duties include, but are not limited to :
1. Implementation of a comprehensive provider recruitment and retention program to ensure an adequate complement of physicians and advanced practitioners aligned with needs and goals of the hospital and medical staff
2. Works with the Provider Services Coordinator and / or Director to implement all aspects of the provider recruitment and retention programs to meet the hospital's established goals and
objectives. 3. Ensures that recruitment practices are kept with accepted legal practices and current legislation.
4. Assists in preparing the North Oaks Medical Center's provider applications and the necessary paperwork for provider credentialing. 5. Arranges hospital visits and community tours for prospective physicians.
6. Fosters and maintains a positive liaison relationship with key personnel in area residency programs.
7. Performs other physician recruitment duties and special projects as assigned, such as coordinating all physician orientations for physicians on active and consulting staff.
8. Assists and participates in department marketing and public relations programs and
services.
9. Participates in the planning and implementation of community and hospital functions and special events.
10. Consistently participates in required department and hospital meetings as requested.
11. Maintains established hospital and department policies, procedures, goals and objectives, quality assurance plans and safety standards.
12. Actively participates in appropriate continuing education and in-service programs.
13. Serves as a liaison between the providers' office managers and hospital administration.
14. Works with Provider Services Coordinator and / or Director and Marketing / Business Development Director to develop and implement relocation assistance for physician marketing plans.
15. Assist in the coordination and implementation of Doctors Day festivities.
18. Supports the Tangipahoa Medical Society Alliance in their endeavors.
19. Assists in the coordination of all Provider Services marketing materials such as updates the physician / provider website directory and assists with any educational articles for the CommUnity Newsletter.
20. Leads the coordination of the Annual Provider Christmas Party.
21. Participates in CQI Teams pertaining to Provider Services, as needed.
22. Assists with the details of special events required by Administration.
23. Assists with the printing, activation and delivery of all provider identification badges.
24. Operates within an approved budget.
25. Performs all other duties as required or directed by department management and / or hospital administration.
