What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Agent position at North Pacific Management?
The Healthman Lodge Hotel is actively seeking a Front Desk Agent to join our team!
We're looking for a people-oriented professional who is passionate about providing exceptional guest service. The ideal Front Desk Agent will ensure guests are greeted warmly, efficiently checked in and out, and have all their questions answered promptly. Our Front Desk Agents are expected to resolve guest concerns professionally and in a timely manner.
Essential Functions:
- Greet guests and manage the check-in/check-out process efficiently and professionally
- Verify guest identification and process payments according to hotel policy
- Fulfill and accurately communicate special guest requests
- Respond to guest inquiries positively and proactively
- Handle guest complaints and issues courteously and effectively
- Answer phone calls promptly and direct them appropriately
- Promote hotel amenities, special events, and rate packages enthusiastically
- Ensure smooth shift transitions by communicating important information
- Complete daily checklist tasks
- Manage cash bank responsibly and adhere to financial policies
- Post charges accurately to guest accounts
- Reconcile all transactions and prepare end-of-shift reports
- Handle guest mail and messages following established procedures
- Manage wake-up call requests efficiently
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Basic math skills and cash handling experience
- Proficiency in hotel management software (training provided)
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
- 6-8 hours: Standing/Walking
- 3-6 hours: Crouching/Bending/Stooping; Reaching; Grasping
- 1-3 hours: Pushing/Pulling; Lifting/Carrying (up to 50 lbs.)
- Up to 1 hour: Sitting; Climbing Stairs.
