Local long-standing truck line North Park Transportation Co in Missoula, MT has an immediate part time Administrative Assistant, Receptionist opening. This is an in-office position reporting to the Office Manager located in the corporate office in Missoula, MT.

Pay Range: $17.00-$20.00/hr, depending on experience.
Hours: 1:00pm-5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for providing a variety of terminal functions to support operations and provide exceptional customer service.
Part time go-getter for appointment scheduling for residential freight deliveries. This position calls our residential customers to confirm access and availability for delivery, as well as handling inbound calls, resolving scheduling conflicts and maintaining accurate records all while providing prompt excellent customer service. Ability to read a map and familiarity with Western Montana’s rural locations is beneficial. Exceptional, concise, to-the-point phone skills are essential.
- Handle incoming phone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
- Provides timely and accurate information to client inquiries such as shipment inquiries, rate quotes, tariff discrepancies and billing and invoicing questions.
- Bill shipments pursuant to applicable tariffs and pricing agreements.
- Respond timely to internal and external issues or questions to ensure satisfaction.
- Assists operations with duties such as checking for shortage bills, assisting with Bill of Lading duties, returns, manifest information and driver check-in and document processing.
- Assists with general office duties such as mailing, filing, scanning and copying.
- Assists with obtaining and providing information for accessorial service costs or cartage fees.
- Works outside of general job description duties to assist others on an as-needed basis.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0-2 years’ experience in customer service.
- Strong typing and 10-key skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in an office environment and with vendors, clients and employees as needed to perform essential duties and job functions.
- Ability to handle multiple requests and priorities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED:
- Experience with the AS400 operating system.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations.
