POSITION: Extended School Year (ESY) BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) for Summer 2025
PAY RATE: NPSD BCBA employee - per diem hourly rate up to a maximum of $62/hr.; Others - $52/hr.
ESY related service provider positions are available to work in-person with students to provide teach, implement, and monitor the progress of student related service IEP goals and services noted in their ESY section of the IEP.
NOTE: Related service providers require a respective PA professional license and PDE certificate.
What are Extended School Year (ESY) services?
ESY services are special education and related services that are provided to students with disabilities beyond the 180-day school year. In some cases, interruptions in the school schedule, such as summer break, may result in some students with disabilities regressing on specific skills and taking a much longer time to regain those skills than their peers without disabilities once school is back in session. ESY services are provided during breaks in the educational schedule to prevent this.

ESY is Monday - Thursday on the following dates and times:
Location and Hours:
Elementary (Gr. K-6) - Location: Walton Farm Elementary School
Physical Requirements: Sedentary Light work Medium work Heavy work Very heavy work
Sedentary: involves sitting most of the time. Incumbent should be able to exert up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects.
Light work: If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the individual sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work. The incumbent should be able to exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Medium work: The incumbent should be able to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
Heavy work: The incumbent should be able to exert up to 100 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
Very heavy work: The incumbent should be able to exert in excess of 100 lbs of force occasionally, and in excess of 50 lbs of force frequently, and in excess of 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.

- 1 day of your choosing PRIOR to 7/7 (except on Fridays) after communicating with the respective special education supervisor - If teaching the 7/1/25 - 7/31/25 classes
- Plus 7 Hours for Clean-up and Progress Monitoring outside of the ESY day for teaching staff only
