About the Job:
North Sky Communications is looking for an experienced Drilling Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for operating a variety of drilling equipment, including directional drills, backhoes, skid-steer loaders, and tractor-trailers. You will also be involved in restoring and landscaping disturbed areas, developing and maintaining bore schedules, setting up and cleaning site perimeters, loading and unloading tools and materials, and participating in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
In addition to your technical skills, you will need to possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards. You must also be willing to work in various weather conditions and be able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Operate drilling equipment on job sites
* Restore and landscape disturbed areas
* Develop and maintain bore schedules
* Set up and clean site perimeters
* Load and unload tools and materials
* Participate in new site JSA
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* At least 2 years of experience operating drilling equipment
* Valid standard driver's license or Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement
* Acceptable MVR record
* Ability to maintain a safe work environment
* Willingness to work in various weather conditions
* Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed
* Experience with drilling equipment and understanding their capabilities and limitations
* Proficiency in using locators to safely identify utilities
