Title: Mid-Level Social Media Manager

Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee content creation, scheduling, and engagement across NAVSEA’s social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram
Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance communication and engagement with diverse audiences, including Members of Congress, the Department of Defense, industry stakeholders, and military personnel
Curate and produce visual, audio, and video content that aligns with the command’s objectives and messaging
Track, analyze, and report on key social media metrics and effectiveness, making data-driven recommendations for optimization
Ensure all social media content adheres to DoD, Navy, and NAVSEA guidelines and maintains brand consistency
Monitor industry trends and emerging social media platforms to identify opportunities for strategic engagement
Collaborate with public affairs and communications teams to ensure alignment of social media efforts with broader messaging campaigns
Respond to inquiries, comments, and messages on social media in a professional and timely manner
Stay informed on legislative, defense, and military affairs to provide relevant and accurate content for NAVSEA’s social media presence
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or a related field
Minimum of four (4) years of experience managing social media platforms in a professional capacity
Strong understanding of NAVSEA, Congress, the Navy, and the Department of Defense
Proven experience creating and curating engaging content, including visual and multimedia materials
Proficiency in social media analytics tools to measure engagement and effectiveness
Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and platforms
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience working within government or military communications is preferred
