Job Summary
The Clinician Lead of Behavioral Health at North Star Health is responsible for providing high quality patient care along with leadership and oversight of the behavioral health department. This role involves supporting clinicians, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. The Clinician Lead will work collaboratively with other departments to integrate behavioral health services into the overall care model.
Key Responsibilities :
- Leadership and Management :
Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer and Site Directors to support the daily operations of the behavioral health clinicians. Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans to enhance behavioral health services. Supervise and support a team of mental health professionals, including therapists, psychologists, and social workers. Hold regular meetings to discuss patient cases, departmental needs, and goals.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal mental health regulations. Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Maintain accurate records of patient treatment progress and departmental activities.
Work closely with other medical professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans. Collaborate with other departments to integrate behavioral health services into the overall care model. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to address clinical and screening concerns.
Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training behavioral health staff. Participate in annual performance reviews for clinicians.
