Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Residential Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents and their property. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts, and a commitment to upholding security protocols. The Residential Security Officer will work closely with residents, staff, and law enforcement as needed to ensure safety and security.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol residential areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Conduct regular inspections of premises, including common areas, parking lots, and entry points.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Maintain surveillance through CCTV systems and report any incidents or breaches of security.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies as required for incident reporting or investigations.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in a detailed report.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.
- Engage with residents to foster a sense of community while addressing any concerns regarding safety.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various situations.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policy.
- A militarized background or training may be beneficial but is not mandatory.
