This role requires strong skills in thoroughly researching regulatory and company requirements and succinctly summarizing those requirements in simple language that is understandable to those outside of the EHS function. You must have the ability to interact and influence effectively with all levels of management, employees, and customers as well as union members.
A key aspect of this role is understanding culture building practices and strategy. You will actively drive performance and vehemently strive to solve problems and follow projects through to completion. Additionally, you must be able to drive a strong EHS philosophy and implement programs designed to effectively change behavior and prevent injury using data and research-driven methods.
Language Requirements: English is required; bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly valued. The ability to sit, stand, drive, travel by air, walk, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear for 8 hours per day is necessary.
