Position Title : EH&S Manager

Location : Lakewood NJ relocation package available

Salary Range : 120135K bonus

Job Summary of the EH&S Manager :

Our client is seeking a candidate that enjoys spending up to 30 of their day on the manufacturing floor leading a safetyoriented culture. Candidates should be able to hold others accountable and challenge their peers be handson lead by example coach and mentor their staff and infuse energy and excitement into the safety programs of the plant. The candidate will spend up to 80 of their time on safety initiatives and the balance of their time on environmental. There is a strong environmental coordinator.

Successful growing site in Lakewood NJ is seeking an EH&S Manager who will focus on further development and improvement of the safety program and driving a safetyoriented culture plantwide. As the EH&S Manager you will excel in coaching and mentoring your direct reports and will oversee the site EH&S program. You will report to the Plant Manager and will have the following responsibilities :

• Monitor improve and regulate the safety health and environmental policies and processes for the plant
• Keep updated documentation related to safety policies and regulations
• Monitor and track all safety training within the company LMS
• Perform regular site inspections and audits for safety health and environmental compliance
• Complete job hazard analysis
• Lead accident investigations
• Support and initiate improvements related to safety and environmental
• Communicate with and serve as the point of contact for external regulatory agencies (OSHA EPA etc.
• Lead BWC documentation and activities
• Champion the site emergency response team
• Show a presence on the manufacturing floor to drive the company's safety initiatives focused on Behavioral Based Safety Programs
• Decrease the site's recordables and lost time accidents
• Assign and monitor safety training and ensure timely completion
• Other duties as directed by management

Qualifications of the EH&S Manager :

Candidates MUST have already been in a lead EH&S role at a manufacturing plant of at least 100 people . Qualified candidates must have direct reports.

1. Bachelor's degree ideally in an EHS related field

2. At least five years of similar EHS management experience in a manufacturing environment

3. Recent supervision of others

4. Strong safety background with experience overseeing environmental functions as well

5. Experience developing and / or improving site safety programs

6. Experience leading safety programs at sites of at least 100 people

7. Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel
