Job Summary
North Stone Landscaping is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and the ability to work with various accounting software, including QuickBooks. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
North Stone is a rapidly growing company so the position has the opportunity to evolve from a part-time position into a full-time role.
Duties
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Manage corporate accounting tasks, including general ledger accounting and adherence to GAAP.
- Prepare and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Ability to assist in the preparation and use of AIA contracts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
- Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within corporate accounting.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting practices and GAAP.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
- Excellent skills in account analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and understanding of financial concepts.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and management.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.61 - $28.06 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
