IOP Office Manager

Summary:

This position requires someone special who has a great deal of patience, a caring and loving personality to deal with the elderly on a daily basis. Must have a great disposition to greet patients each day. This special someone must be able to function and offer assists in a stressful situation. This person will be responsible for day to day operations. These are only some of the qualities that are needed for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One-year data entry experience with healthcare experience preferred
• Clinical background preferred
• Proficient with medical terminology use.
• Demonstrates ability to work under pressure at times, meets deadlines and last minutes assignments.
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Demonstrates service excellence in the day-to-day job performance.
• Promotes a positive image of NSMC and supports administration in its goals and objectives.
• Displays courtesy and tact in all contact with staff, patients and others.
• Assists visitors, outside agencies, patients and staff. Greets visitors and all patients.
• Handles inquiries and complaints discreetly and effectively per policy and procedure.
• Prepares and organizes admission packets, patient charts, and other patient information in a timely manner. Verifies consistency and accuracy of clinical information entered into patient charts.

• Maintains forms and other supplies for clinical staff.
• Communicates with various other managers, supervisors and employees as needed to obtain, verify, and/or correct information.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient medical records.
• Ensures timely and accurate processing of documents and filing. (signatures and dates?)
• Enters billing for Sunrise IOP and Outpatient Clinics.
• Will perform any and all other duties directed by Program Director.
