As an APRN/Nurse Midwife at {company}, you will independently manage primary health screening, health promotion, and the care of women from adolescence throughout their lifespan using the midwifery management process.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical, mental, and social health to provide comprehensive care.
- Make informed recommendations for screenings and immunizations to promote health and prevent disease.
- Implement effective management strategies and therapeutics to support patients' health and well-being.
- Collaborate with physicians to gather data, make diagnoses, and develop care plans.
- Provide follow-up care, including checking patient progress and reporting according to established protocols.
- Initiate or modify orders within parameters set by supervising physicians and applicable laws.
- Order tests as needed under standing orders or office protocols.
- Administer and provide prescription and non-prescription medications as authorized by supervising physicians.
- Issue non-prescription medications and administer immunization vaccines.
- Perform tasks that do not require independent medical judgment, as determined by supervising physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentation meets current standards and clinic policies.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas.
- APRN/Nurse Midwife license in the state of Texas.
- Current BLS certification.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to touch type.
- Experience with information systems or willingness to learn.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Spanish speaker is a plus.
