Job Summary:

As a Client Services Chat Representative, you will be responsible for assisting students, parents, and staff with inquiries, providing accurate information, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. Your role will involve handling multiple chat conversations, resolving concerns, and offering prompt and courteous support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to chat inquiries from students, parents, and staff.
• Provide accurate information regarding school programs, admissions, schedules, and policies.
• Assist with enrollment questions, technical support, and general concerns.
• Maintain professionalism and a friendly tone in all written communications.
• Escalate complex inquiries to the appropriate department while ensuring follow-up.
• Maintain detailed and accurate chat logs and records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to stay informed about school updates and announcements.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive student information.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Prior experience in customer service, preferably in a chat or messaging support role.
• Strong written communication skills with excellent grammar and clarity.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple conversations simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using chat platforms, CRM systems, and customer support tools.
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to addressing inquiries.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with the education sector is a plus but not required.

Established in 1814, North Yarmouth Academy is a coeducational college preparatory day school for toddlers to students in grade 12 plus a postgraduate program. Our 20 acre campus is located in the coastal town of Yarmouth, Maine just ten minutes from Portland.
We are a traditional New England prep school with a campus dotted with traditional brick buildings, a modern science center, playing fields, and our own ice arena where our ice hockey teams compete in the Prep League (NEPSAC). Pay: $30 - $45 / hour
