What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shuttle Driver position at North Yarmouth Academy?
North Yarmouth Academy is currently seeking a part time morning shuttle driver. Four hours per day/20 hours per week.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare vehicle for roadworthiness (inspection and documentation, gas, snow removal, etc.)
- Transport all passengers from designated meeting points to NYA, ensuring efficient and safe transport and loading
- Ensure safe, reliable, and timely transportation of students at all times.
- Obey all traffic laws and observe all mandatory safety regulations for school buses.
- Maintain discipline on the school bus at all times.
- Communicate with the Director of Transportation about concerns with vehicles and/or student behavior in a timely
- Additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid State of Maine driver’s license
- Clean driving record with the Department of Motor Vehicles.
- Current Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check Authorization, or able to obtain.
- Physical ability to meet primary responsibilities.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Training provided if necessary.
SALARY:
- Based on experience.
