Winery Bookkeeper/Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant to manage the full accounting cycle for multiple clients across wine & various industries. This role requires the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy. You’ll work independently and directly with clients to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and operational support.

• Record day-to-day financial transactions including A/P, A/R, payroll, and bank reconciliations
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes for each client
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Process payroll and related tax filings (federal, state, and local)
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts across multiple entities
• Manage and track client budgets, expenses, and financial KPIs
• Communicate directly with clients regarding financial activity and questions
• Liaise with CPAs or tax professionals for audits, tax filings, and compliance
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
• Provide recommendations for financial processes and efficiencies

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• 5 years of accounting experience within the wine industry, preferably managing multiple clients
• Experience handling multiple client accounts simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, payroll, and tax filings
• Proficient in QuickBooks (Online/Desktop), Xero, or similar accounting software
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong communication and client service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities
