CNC Machine Operator
Northbend Pattern Works is looking for a skilled and self-motivated CNC Machine Operator to join our team. This role is critical to expanding our capabilities, and we need someone who can work independently, manage their time effectively, and contribute to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills efficiently.
- Gather and assemble tooling based on job packages provided by CNC Programmers.
- Ensure precise machine setup and secure clamping for accuracy.
- Operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously.
- Follow setup sheets, drawings, and programmer instructions.
- Conduct preliminary inspections and quality checks before removing parts from machines.
- Maintain and perform minor adjustments on assigned equipment.
- Transport parts to designated areas as needed.
- Clean and deburr parts before moving them to the next stage.
- Follow all safety protocols.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Report any non-conformances.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with coworkers and shop personnel.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Required Skills
- Strong shop math skills.
- Ability to read and interpret basic part drawings.
- Proficiency in using micrometers and dial calipers with precision.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong planning and task management abilities.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Regular standing, hand use, reaching, movement throughout the facility, and communication.
- Vision requirements include close focus and depth perception.
