Job Description :
A leading Private Equity firm seeking a Corporate Accountant to fill a senior level position. The ideal candidate will hold an advanced Accounting degree, preferably a CPA. This position is involved with various aspects of corporate accounting, financial reporting, business planning and accounting and financial analysis.
Job Responsibilities :
- Researching and interpreting FASB standards and SEC guidance, and ensuring that the transaction is properly recorded in the general ledger.
- Assist in the preparation of any ad hoc analyses requested by Management.
- Effectively work and communicate with team to ensure established deadlines are being met in an efficient manner.
- Present information, ideas and recommendations clearly and concisely.
- Responsible for reviewing the day-to-day accounting for the Company’s Debt and
- Preferred Equity Investment portfolio to ensure that it is accurate and complete.
- Assist in the preparation of publicly filed documents (10Ks / 10Qs and the supplemental package
- Preparing financial statements, preparing footnote disclosures and preparing sections of MD&A.
