Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc., is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable & Payroll Coordinator. The Accounts Payable & Payroll Coordinator is responsible for completing all Payroll and Accounts Payable functions, including related processes; maintaining all Payroll and Benefits, Accounts Payable and General Ledger Accounts; and processing month-end General Ledger journal entries associated with Payroll and Accounts payable.
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Oversee the accuracy of bi-weekly time sheets.
- Process and communicate accurately with G & A regarding any payroll adjustments.
- Prepare various month-end payroll entries.
- Reconcile all payroll (and related) balance sheet general ledger accounts.
- Perform monthly analysis of payroll related general ledger accounts.
- Code, journalize and process invoices, petty cash, debit and credit card transactions for payments, verifying documentation for accuracy.
- Process payments made to vendors, including check printing and processing.
- Monitor A / P aging report, analyze and follow-up with VP of Finance on overdue payments.
- Coordinate and complete monthly A / P process including any journal entries, account reconciliations and special reporting.
- Assist with foster parent payments including review of data entry and processing of ACH transactions and maintenance of FP direct deposit information.
- Reconcile Accounts Payable to sub-ledgers accounts monthly.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred or a minimum of 5 years performing accounting related functions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software : Excel, Word, Outlook
- Familiarity with accounting software, MS Great Plains system preferred.
- MS Windows 10 & Internet Browser
